Duralex® glass is made strong through a tempering process. The glass is heated to around 700°C and then rapidly cooled with ventilation. This creates controlled stresses in the glass, improving its resistance to mechanical stress and thermal shock. Duralex® glass is at least 3.5 times more resistant to mechanical stress than regular glass and can withstand extreme thermal shock up to 130°C. For more information, download our Duralex catalogue.
