The Thun 1794 porcelain factory was established in 1794 in the village of Klasterec nad Ohri, near Karlovy Vary, the Czech Republic. Its founding was initiated by the brothers Franz and Karl Thun, who had extensive experience in porcelain production. Over time, the porcelain factory evolved and modernized, eventually becoming one of the most prominent porcelain manufacturers in Czechia.
